Good robot vs evil robot

From fears of AI-generated work lacking authenticity to concerns about student attention spans, misconceptions about AI in education are widespread. Some believe AI prevents students and even faculty from engaging in critical thinking and creativity. There is also the persistent worry that allowing AI in the classroom will replace instructors altogether. This panel will tackle these myths head-on, offering a balanced, informed perspective on AI’s role in education.

Panelists will explore how AI has been ethically integrated into their own teaching to enhance—not diminish—learning. Panelists will discuss how AI supports engaging and well-thought-out assignments, fosters authentic learning experiences, and strengthens critical thinking and creativity. Additionally, we will examine AI’s role in pedagogy and assessment, particularly in helping future educators adapt to diverse learning needs. From differentiating lessons with tools like Diffit, scaffolding a Podcast, to streamlining grading with Gradescope, panelists will showcase their work and provide practical solutions that empower educators while maintaining academic integrity.
